Please share a memory of Kenny to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kenneth Alan Rose passed away peacefully on February 21, 2024 at the age of 61 after a short illness. Ken was born on May 4, 1962 in Hollister, California to George and Sandra (Sans) Rose. Ken was a life long San Benito County resident graduating from San Benito High School in 1980. Kenny and Tammy spent a lot of their younger years on the gorgeous Sans Topo Ranch. The Sans Ranch was Ken’s playground. Kenny liked to hunt and tinker with all of the old equipment that was on the ranch. He had a knack for getting the old equipment to run. Ken loved animals. He raised and cared for many FFA steers at the Rose Home Ranch. Kenny was very active in FFA showing his steers and exhibiting his shop class projects at the San Benito County and Salinas Valley Fairs. Many of his shop class projects are still in us today. Kenny was FFA president in 1979-1980, his senior year of high school. As soon as he could legally drive, he started working at Ranchers Feed on San Felipe Rd in Hollister. In the early 1980s Ken worked for Grimsley Trucking. In about 1987, Kenny and Robbie V. decided to start a limo business in Hollister. He continued as owner operator of the limo business until recent years. Kenny was a huge country music fan going to many, many concerts with friends throughout the years. Kenny was generous to a fault. Always wanting to share the things he loved with his friends and family. He was a gentle giant with a heart and smile just as big. Kenny was always smiling. We will miss that smile. Kenny loved and was really attached to all of the family dogs and he was really good to his cats. He loved all animals even Drifter. Kenny was a faithful SF 49er and SF Giants fan. He really enjoyed watching games with family and friends. He enjoyed a cold beer on a hot day riding around the Sans Ranch in recent years with Tammy and friends by his side. Ken will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Kenny is survived by his sister, Tammy Rose, of Bitterwater, California. He is also survived by his aunt Diana Rodrigues, his uncle Jerry (Debbie) Rose, his uncle David (Colleen) Grimes, his uncle Paul (SanDee) Sans, his cousins Harry (Pam) Rose and children Laramie and Kaycee, Debbie Rodrigues-Krieg, Sami Jo (Gregg) Johnsen and children Rory & Jo Ellen, Todd (Wendy) Sans and children Sierra Jo, Todd, Jr. & Brody, and Jerilynn Sans.
